I’m a freelance designer, illustrator, and journalist living in Washington, D.C. I graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Graphic Design. My focus is on social impact and illuminating complex subject matter and I specialize in publication design, print collateral, editorial illustration, and web graphics. I particularly enjoy working with newsrooms, nonprofits, and bars and restaurants. As a journalist, I write criticism of art and theater and cover DC-area artists, local politics, and idiosyncratic cultural topics.
I’m the co-founder, writer, and designer for The InQueery, a satire publication that assumes the voice of a “queer research corporation” doing trend reporting and cultural analysis, accompanied by original illustrations. Other artistic achievements include the She-Span street art project, an artist book made entirely of Saltine crackers, and an annual tradition of making funny Valentines.
I am available for freelance design, illustration, and writing work. My name is an anagram for “hit up a designer,” so please do!
